Availability is not the same as calendar sharing

Traditional calendar sharing can reveal titles, locations, descriptions, or a dense calendar that friends must interpret. Shared availability reduces that information to what the social decision needs: whether a person is available in a given window.

Honest empty schedules

An empty calendar can mean somebody is completely free—or that they never added a schedule. OpenHour distinguishes missing schedule information so a group does not make a false assumption.

Common questions

Can friends see my class names?

Only if your visibility settings allow event titles. Privacy mode can show the busy block without its private label.

Can I preview what friends see?

Yes. The schedule page includes a privacy preview so you can compare your view with the availability shown to friends.
